Connor Brown is set for a spell on the sidelines after the Bluebirds defender underwent a hernia operation in London on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old star has missed the last three games with the injury and had seen a specialist who recommended surgery as the best route forward.

“Connor has had the operation now so he’s going to be six to eight weeks we think so that’s a blow for us,” Cooper told iFollow.

“The other lads who are injured are still a little way off because you have to remember that they have to get back into training and get match fit, so they can’t help us in the short term.”

Brown will now rest at home over the weekend following the operation but will return to training on Monday to begin his rehabilitation with the Club’s medical staff.
