"We've Got To Back It Up" - Wild

1 November 2022

Pete Wild has said he needs the players to back up Saturday's victory with a professional, front footed performance tonight, as Colchester United come to town.

Barrow come into the fixture on the crest of back-to-back home triumphs; the 1-0 win over Grimsby Town a week ago, and the 3-0 victory against Crewe Alexandra at the weekend.

A single strike from Billy Waters was the difference maker against Grimsby, and a brace from Josh Gordon and an opening goal from Waters saw Barrow to the three points on Saturday.

When asked about what we can take from those past two home games into Colchester, the Barrow boss said a lot can be taken and there's plenty to learn from and implement:

"The victories over Grimsby and Crewe have definitely helped build more confidence within the group.

"We had a stats meeting on Saturday morning before the game with the backroom staff."

"We focussed on what we've been doing well over the last few games, what we can be better at and looked at how effectively the things we've been working on in training have been implemented in games.

"There was a lot of take-home messages, which we delivered to the players yesterday morning, which will help us to keep on getting better and improving ourselves.

"There's always areas we can improve. There's always areas where we can get better."
