Barrow Link Up With Armed Forces Charity

10 November 2022

In association with the new Community Foundation, the matchworn shirts from Barrow's FA Cup First Round tie are being auctioned off, with half of the proceeds going to SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.

The shirts from the match feature a Poppy on the front, along with an Emirates FA Cup sleeve patch. Shirts from the 20 players named on the teamsheet are up for auction, along with Robbie Gotts' shirt, who missed out on the fuxture due to injury.

An auction is now live for Barrow fans to bid on the shirts. Half of the proceeds will go directly to the Barrow AFC Community Foundation and the other half will be donated to SSAFA.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity provides lifelong support for those who have served in our Armed Forces, and for their dependant families.  Every year our volunteers help over 73,000 people, from WW 2 Veterans to the young men and women who have served in more recent conflicts. Our network of volunteers work in local communities and on military bases around the world.  Here in Cumbria, we have less than 10 volunteers to cover a vast area and it is through their dedication that we continue to be able to offer our wonderful clients the service that they deserve.
