Pete Wild’s side looks to maintain their perfect start to pre-season as the Bluebirds host Neil Critchley’s Blackpool on Saturday.

The Bluebirds faced arguably their most competitive challenge of pre-season on Tuesday night as they overcame a resilient AFC Fylde side, in the end running out 2-0 winners with Ged Garner scoring an outrageous volley.

We’ll be without young defender Mazeed Ogungbo for the next three months after he tore his meniscus during our victory over Preston North End at the SO Legal Stadium last Saturday.

The opposition

Blackpool on the other hand have had a mixed start to the new season having most recently lost to Championship newbies Plymouth Argyle 2-1 last weekend, having previously run out victorious against Southport FC in their opening fixture of pre-season.

It won’t be the last time we’ll face Blackpool this season as we welcome them back to the SO Legal Stadium on Tuesday the 5th of September in the EFL Trophy.

Matchday information

Tickets will be on sale for this fixture right up until kick-off from the ticket office at the SO Legal Stadium, while fans can also buy tickets online here.

Due to ongoing works inside the stadium and high-ticket demand from away fans, we’ll be giving Blackpool fans the whole of the Holker Street End for tomorrow’s game.

The fan zone will be open from noon, whilst turnstiles will be open from 1 pm.

The club store will also be open from 10:30 am for fans hoping to purchase merchandise or tickets.
