We are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Warburton as the clubs new events manager.
Rachel is an experienced professional and brings with her a wealth of knowledge. As we enter our fourth season as an EFL club, Rachel is will be responsible for increasing the utilisation of club assets, including our meeting rooms and bar facilities, to help diversify the clubs revenue streams as we progress.
She also has a passion for both community engagement and organising captivating events and her appointment represents an exciting opportunity for us to create a dynamic and inclusive event calendar that caters to the diverse interests and preferences of the community.
Her vision is to introduce a range of engaging events, both on matchdays and throughout the year, that will positively benefit the town and its people.
Following her appointment, Rachel said:
"I am thrilled to be joining Barrow AFC and to have the opportunity to expand and diversify the clubs offerings in terms of events and venue hire, whilst bringing people together to create lasting memories.
My goal is to design captivating experiences and events that showcase the best of Barrow and create a sense of pride and unity among the residents, whilst also improving and in increasing the clubs revenue streams in terms of venue hire and non-football income.”
Following Rachel’s appointment, Chairman Paul Hornby said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Rachel to the club as our new Events Manager.
As part of our longer term vision for the club we need to take advantage of all revenue streams available to us, including utilising the SO Legal stadium through the week, not just on match days.
Rachel will play a key role in ensuring we can do this and we’re really glad to have her on board.”
