We are delighted to announce the signing of Courtney Duffus on a one year contract, with a one year club option.
Born in Cheltenham, the 27 year old forward started in the Robins’ academy, before joining Everton in 2012. Spells at the likes of Oldham, Yeovil, and Bromley followed, before joining Morecambe for an undisclosed fee in August 2021.
Bluebirds boss Pete Wild was delighted to see Courtney sign on the dotted line:
“Courtney is a player I know well, having worked with him earlier in his career at Oldham and having played against him many times since.
At his best, he is a very athletic and physical centre forward who can score goals and I think he is a really good fit for our squad.
I believe he has all the traits and attributes to really rejuvenate his career with us and I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”
Courtney himself was also pleased to get the deal some and he spoke of his excitement for the hard work to come.
“I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve worked with the Gaffer before and I’m really looking forward to helping to continue with what he has already started here.
I will contribute to the team with hard work and goals and I’m really excited to hit the ground running when we all return to pre-season in a few weeks.”
Welcome to Barrow, Courtney!
