We have reached the end of the season, and what a year it has been for the club.
I just wanted to start with congratulating everyone associated with the club. This season has been all about pulling together and showing the football world we truly belong in the Football League, and I believe we have achieved that, so I would like to thank you all for your hard work this season behind the scenes.
From the first moment back in May 2022 when I joined the club, I knew we had a lot of work ahead of us, but that is also what excited me knowing we could start achieving some positive goals in the Football League.
We have a great board of directors that honestly care about the club more than you will ever know so thank you to Paul, Tony and Kris for all of your support alongside Frazer from the Bluebirds Trust.
We also have an unbelievable fan base that turn up in their numbers week in, week out and make Barrow AFC a hard place to play for visiting teams.
On the football management side we have staff now in place with the utmost passion, work ethic and structure to drive Barrow AFC forward on the pitch.
The Club this season has been led by Pete Wild and his team to its first top half Football League finish since 1968. This is just the start of the journey and work is already been well under way in preparation for next season.
Our Medical Department has had a major impact in reducing the number of games missed due to injury and our Data Analysts provide excellent insight on current player performance and potential player targets.
Regarding our B team we have applied to enter the EFL central league and we hope to have some positive news on our application shortly.
I look forward to seeing you all at our pre-season games, please come over and say hi and have a chat.
Let’s continue to support the Club and be positive for what our future with Barrow AFC holds.
I’m glad to be on this journey with you.
Once again, thank you to each and every one of you.
