Pete Wild’s Bluebirds will be looking to bounce back after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Grimsby Town on Tuesday night when we host Notts County tomorrow afternoon.
The Bluebirds were unfortunate to lose 2-1 on Tuesday night, despite creating 24 chances and enjoying plenty of the ball.
Sam Foley scored the only goal for Barrow in the 79th minute after a nice passing pattern and cooly slotted past the goalkeeper.
Barrow currently sits 10th in the league, with a game in hand over most of the league. A win against The Magpies could see Barrow climb above Wrexham into ninth.
Barrow is still unbeaten at home after beating Doncaster Rovers and Sutton United and drawing with Wrexham.
Team news
No injuries were sustained on Tuesday’s night trip to Grimsby meaning Wild has a big squad to choose from.
Junior Tiensia is still unavailable following his red card against Mansfield, serving his last match ban this weekend.
The opposition.
League leaders Notts County enjoyed a 3-1 home win against Swindon Town, with Macaulay Langstaff scoring from the spot to take his goal tally to 8 goals this season.
It will be a fantastic match-up between the 2 sides, with Notts County looking to break down the third-best defence in the league, whilst they boast the best attack in the league after scoring 26 goals in only 11 outings.
Head to head
Barrow last played Notts County in the 2019/20 National League season, losing 2-0 at home, but winning 3-0 away at Meadow Lane with goals from John Rooney, Jack Hindle, and Dior Angus.
Over the years, we have faced Notts County 14 times, winning seven and losing six.
Referee
The man in charge for tomorrow's game is Ben Toner who is yet to referee us this season however, he did officiate us on one occasion last year when we defeated Grimsby Town 1-0.
He will be joined by Danny Jarvis and Natalie Aspinall, whilst Andrew Miller is the fourth official.
