Barrow AFC is pleased to announce the permanent signing of England C International Wyll Stanway from Chester for an undisclosed fee, subject to approval.
Barrow-born Stanway will join the Bluebirds on an initial two-year deal with the option to extend further.
Stanway achieved 19 clean sheets in 46 appearances for the National League North side, contributing to Chester's tenth-place finish.
On his move to the SO Legal Stadium, Stanway said, "I'm absolutely delighted to sign for my hometown club. It happened quite quickly, but I am happy to get it finalized." "You can see the direction the club is going, and I am excited to be a part of this. I can't wait to get going."
Upon securing the 6ft 4 shot-stopper, Sporting Director Iain Wood added, "Wyll has been on the club’s radar for quite some time. He has had a fantastic season, making the England C squad for their fixture against Wales."
