Highly-rated young defender Bobby Thomas joined Barrow on loan from Burnley during the January transfer window on a deal which will keep him with The Bluebirds until the end of the season.
Thomas joined The Clarets in 2017 on a two-year scholarship after previously spending time on the books at Everton and Crewe Alexandra.
He prospered during his second season at Burnley, starring for the Under-23s and earning a call-up to the Under-23 squad at the beginning of 2019 and he was subsequently named Young Player of the Year.
The talented centre-back signed his first professional contract that summer and was involved with the First Team during ‘Project Restart’ at the end of last term before making his senior Clarets debut in a Carabao Cup tie in September 2020.
