Date of birth
Born in Knowsley, Platt made his way through the Blackburn Rovers youth system and played for their Under-18 and Under-21 sides.
He joined Barrow on loan for the first time at the start of March 2017 and made his debut as a substitute in the home game with Sutton United before returning to Blackburn Rovers in May 2017.
Platt went on loan to Accrington Stanley of League One on a season-long loan in August 2018 but returned to Ewood Park in January 2019 and then joined Southport of Vanarama North on loan for the remainder of the season.
Platt re-joined Barrow on loan at the end of August 2019 for the remainder of the season and went on to play his part in the capture of the National League title. His move from Blackburn was made permanent in July 2020.
The dependable defender began the season as a regular and scored his first EFL goal to salvage a point in dramatic fashion at Cambridge United in November.
An injury ruled him out from the turn of the year but he returned to play his part in the closing stages of the 2020/21 campaign as The Bluebirds cemented their EFL status.
