Experienced centre-back Tom Davies became the third new arrival of the January 2020 transfer window when he joined the Club on loan from Bristol Rovers until the end of May.
The whole-hearted defender had been fighting his way back from knee surgery last year and had not featured during the 2020/21 campaign before Rovers boss Paul Tisdale gave the green light to his temporary move to Barrow.
A former Manchester United and Blackburn Rovers youngster, Davies stepped back in to non-league for a spell while he studied for a degree in sports management but caught the eye at the helm of the FC United of Manchester defence as they finished runners-up in the Northern Premier League.
His form earned him a move to Fleetwood Town in 2014 before he moved on to Accrington Stanley a year later and then put pen to paper on a deal at Portsmouth.
Coventry City paid an undisclosed fee to take the no-nonsense defender to the Midlands in 2017 but he turned down a new deal there in the summer of 2019 and instead signed for Bristol Rovers.
