Born in Antrim in Northern Ireland, Bobby began his senior career with Glenavon making his First Team debut at the end of the 2015/16 season.

He stayed with the club until the summer of 2018, scoring 8 times in 41 games in all competitions. During that time he also gained further experience with a spell at Knockbreda.

In the summer of 2018 he joined Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership. He spent a spell out on loan with Championship side Livingston in the first half of the 2018/19 season where he made eight appearances.

He was loaned out again in September 2019 to Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets and scored once in 19 games for them in all competitions before returning to Scotland in the spring.

Brown made a total of 13 appearances for Hearts in all competitions over his two years with the club, scoring once before joining Barrow at the start of August 2020.   

He is now in double figures for Northern Ireland Under-21 caps, having previously been capped by them at other junior levels.
