We are delighted to share our new website with you.
As we announced in a club update back in September, we have been working on a new website which will greatly improve our online presence.
We wanted to create a website that supporters can be proud of, enabling them to keep up to date with all of our latest news, match highlights and social media content in one place. The new site is easier to navigate, with an increase in content planned, including match reports, featured articles and player interviews.
The site features a brand new design, an online shop and will be continuing to enhance the site as the season goes on, giving us the ability to further develop our online ticket sales as well as hospitality and facilities bookings.
As with all things at the club, this has been a team effort and we have some people we would like to thank for helping us get the site online:
The National Supporters Club:
We were very grateful to recieve a donation of £1500 from the Barrow AFC National Supporters Club towards the project. The NSC now have their own designated page on our official website which will be updated regularly so supporters can keep up to date with the great work that they do, as well as get the latest on all of their events and competitions. You can find it here:
The National Supporters Club was formed in 1976 by a small group of the our exiled supporters in the London area, with the aims of providing a forum for the exchange of news about Barrow AFC, organise travel to matches, and encouraging friendly links with the supporters of other clubs.
Members are kept in touch by way of a monthly newsletter, “The National Zigger” which is included with each membership. Individual membership costs £6 per season (£10 outside the UK), or Family Membership for just £10, which covers two or more members living at the same address. You can download a membership form from their page on our site, and all new membership applications for this season will include membership for the 2018/19 season as well!
We would also like to say a big thank you to Sophie and the team at Furness Internet who have worked tirelessly to get the site built and launched. Be sure to check them out for any website needs you may have here:
