Bluebirds Set For Forest Friendly

26 July 2021

The Bluebirds will make a quick-fire return to action on Monday afternoon when they travel to play a behind closed doors friendly at Nottingham Forest (2pm kick-off).

Mark Cooper’s side were beaten 1-0 by Bolton Wanderers at Holker Street on Saturday and now the Barrow boss is set to rotate his line-up when they face Championship opposition.

With less than a fortnight to go until the big kick-off in League Two, Cooper knows there is still plenty of work to be done and is looking forward to another productive afternoon against Forest.

“We’re trying to get all the players an equal amount of minutes,” he explained.

“When we go to Nottingham Forest, the boys who played 60 minutes on Saturday will play 30 and vice versa so we’re trying to do it like that to make sure everyone is ready to go.”

The match will be played at Forest’s training ground and we’ll have a report here on the Official Website following the final whistle.
