Team News: Barrow v Mansfield Town

4 March 2021

We take a look at the latest from both camps ahead of Saturday's League Two meeting at The Progression Solicitors Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Josh Kay will be hoping to come back into contention to face Mansfield Town on Saturday after the winger was forced to sit out Tuesday’s meeting with Harrogate Town due to illness.

Lewis Hardcastle and Tom Davies will also be assessed, while midfielder Tom Beadling continues to make good progress in his battle to return to fitness following a groin problem.

Defender Matt Platt is working to recover from a knee ligament sprain and will remain sidelined for a number of weeks; midfield man Mike Jones is out for the season with an Achilles injury.

Stags boss Nigel Clough will be without influential skipper Ollie Clarke for the trip to Cumbria; the midfielder is suspended after being shown a red card during Tuesday’s defeat at Bradford City.

Full-back Stephen McLaughlin and front man Oli Sarkic are both nearing returns after injury and will hope to be involved but midfielder George Lasplie (hamstring) and defender Joe Riley (knee) are still out.
